A selection of early German and French litho art postcards, mostly pre-1905 undivided backs and mainly with romantic calendar designs by Theodor Guggenberger.
The Bavarian Theodor Guggenberger (1866-1929) worked as a landscape painter, illustrator, and stage designer. His paintings were created in a Romantic Academic style. He is perhaps best known for his calendar postcards, but he also created military themed cards during World War One.
