A collection of postcards with illustrations by Danish artist Hans Tegner (1853-1932).
Hans Christian Harald Tegner was born on 30 November 1853 in Copenhagen. He studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts from 1869 to 1878. He went on to work with drawings and watercolors. At Charlottenborg in 1882 he exhibited watercolor drawings from the Hans Christian Andersen fairytale "The Tinder Box”. He became a professor at the Academy in 1897. He died in Fredensborg, N Zealand on 2 April 1932.
