The 2nd friendly match between teams from the TT Roll-up and the EGGS was held on Thursday 13th July 2017 on the FHGC Green course.
EGGS Captain, Mark Ryan, presents the TT Roll-up’s coordinator, Nigel French
Seven teams from the EGGS and the TT Roll-up renewed their friendly golfing rivalry in perfect golfing conditions on the Green course. The final result - a win for the TT Roll-up team by 4 matches to 3 (full results below) - reflected another closely fought encounter.
The match, comprising seven 4BBB matches, was followed by a light meal and prize-presentation in the Clubhouse - the losing team having the pleasure of paying for the food.
The superbly crafted trophy manufactured by RH engineering (shown right) was delivered to FHGC under armed guard and presented by Mark Ryan, EGGS Captain 2017, to the TT Roll-up coordinator, Nigel French.
In making the presentation, Mark Ryan thanked all EGGS and TT Roll-up players for taking part in such a pleasant event and noted that this was the second time the TT Roll-up team had emerged as winners by a narrow margin. He hoped that the EGGS could reverse this result in the next encounter before it became a worrying trend.
In his response Nigel French endorsed Mark Ryan’s thanks to all EGGS and TT Roll-up players and looked forward to renewing the groups’ friendly rivalry next year.
Meanwhile, he gave an assurance that the EGG Cup would be kept in secure custody until the next match.
