Léo Fontan (1884-1965) was a French decorative artist and painter.  He was born in 1884 in Douchery, France and studied under Luc-Olivier Merson, Leon Bonnat and Fernand Cormon in Paris, where he became established as a painter and decorative artist and exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Francais and the Humorists' Salon.  He died in 1965 in Annecy, France.
