"From Sheep’s Back to Bedclothes in a Day” - In this factory, Messrs Early & Co succeeded in making a blanket in record time. The whole process from shearing the sheep at 3.46 am, the passage of the wool through 21 different processes to its finish at 2.23 pm took less than 12 hours. The blanket was conveyed to Blenheim at 5.30 pm and the Duke of Marlborough slept under it the same night.
